Highlightening and its iridescent tones are no longer confined to the complexion:frosted pink or blue eyelids, icy snow-colored lips and luminescent décolleté. The idea? Bring back the nobility to winter complexions and enhance them by putting them under the spotlights of a makeup that calls and retains the light.

Mother-of-pearl for a diaphanous complexion

Start by preparing the skin using a filling and smoothing base. Dilated pores, fine lines disappear. Don't skip this step or you won't get that sheer, almost angelic face. A frosty or very glowy makeup unfortunately brings out the slightest defect.

It is also necessary to remember to hydrate well, pearls tend to dry out. Slightly matte epidermis, on the other hand, use a little white cream or an orchid lightening CC cream on the face and neck to achieve a fresh, transparent glow. If necessary, a complexion corrector will be your best ally to camouflage dark circles and small pimples. We want a flawless complexion.

Iridescent shadows for the eyes

The eyes are first worked in an almond shape using a black felt eyeliner placed flush with the upper lashes to give the effect of a pretty fringe. The mascara will be black or brown but definitely not glittery.

Then place an iridescent shadow in sky blue, silver or parma on the middle of the mobile eyelid, then a white or pink on the inner corner of the eye. Stretch them towards the temples using a brush. Limit yourself to two or three close tones otherwise the result will be messy.

We finish with the upper eyelids. The shades chosen fulfill the role of the white background for photographers:they balance the lighting. To do this, we adopt a white or a pearly champagne, in make-up or in illuminator. Remember that highlighters are versatile and can be used all over the face.

In the evening, intensify the look by adding gray, dark purple or indigo blue.

Highlighter to sculpt the contours of the face

On the temples and the T-zone, very light pearlescent light reflectors, in stick or cream, create a boost of freshness and glow. We prefer a more intense pink or coral on the cheeks and on the tip of the nose to create the illusion of cold and health. Take it easy or you'll look like Rudolph the Reindeer.

This same pink or coral can also land in the middle of the arch as a health point.

Almost translucent lips

Lips ask for nothing more than a very pale pearly lipstick or gloss or one of those new generation lip stains perfect for "bitten lips" and which can be used as a blush. Otherwise, a lightly tinted balm will do the trick and will accentuate the "return to the great outdoors" effect.

To finish, don't forget a flick of shimmering powder applied to the neckline and temples down to the hairline.
