This is how you protect your hair from the sun

Limit the damage from sun, sea and chlorine by taking good care of your hair this summer.

1. Protect hair with a leave-in conditioner

Leave-in conditioner takes care of your hair. In the summer, it is preferable to choose a variant with a UV filter, so that your hair is also protected against the radiation of the sun. Dyed hair will then fade or discolor less quickly due to the sun.

2. Wet your hair with tap water

Before taking a dip in the pool, wet your hair with tap water. By having your dry hair already absorb tap water, your hair will absorb less chlorine water or seawater afterwards.

3. Rinse your hair after swimming

After swimming, rinse your hair in the beach showers. As soon as you get home, it's best to wash your hair and then condition it with a conditioner. There are special hair products for after sunbathing. If you need some extra care for your hair, take a look here.

4. Cover your hair

Preferably hold your hair to protect it. The best protection is to protect your scalp and hair by covering it with a bandana, scarf or hat.
