Tips for everyday makeup

We always want to look our best and be in sync with the latest fashion trends. So here's one of the makeup trends that has spread like wildfire:the natural look. Essentially, we keep the everyday makeup look to a minimum, though we still want to create that gorgeous flawless, radiant, and natural glow that a professional makeup artist could impart to our face. So here are some tips to get a great professional makeup look every day.

1. First of all, before applying the makeup, you need to prepare your face. Clean it and moisturize it so that the make-up is applied more smoothly.

2. Then use a primer and apply to the areas to be leveled before foundation.

3. No special makeup training is needed to learn some tricks to cover up any discoloration and pimples on the skin. For example, apply a concealer under the eyes that is one shade lighter than the actual skin tone. Later it will even out with the foundation.

To apply less foundation, start the process from the "T" zone of the face and move outwards. This particular "T" area is a code for the forehead, nose, and chin. Then use translucent powder and a large brush to set the foundation and gently apply it all over the face. Don't forget to apply a little bit of concealer or foundation around the lips as this will help define them better later on.

4. Use a shimmer/blush to accentuate and define the cheekbones. For a lighter, fresher look, take advantage of the shine and apply a small amount before or after foundation in small circular motions. You can also use the shimmer just below your eyebrow area to give it more definition. Blush is used when the preference is for sharper cheekbones, but don't overdo it and make it look unnatural.

5. Now move on to the luscious lips. To create movie star lips with professional makeup, choose a lip pencil, preferably the same color as your lipstick or a shade darker. Apply it on the contour of the lips and then fill in the lips with the side of the pencil. If the lip pencil is applied before the lipstick, the color will last longer.

6. The last point is the eyes. Use an eye pencil or a liquid liner for more definition. Apply as close to the lashes of the upper lid as possible and finish by applying the mascara in an upward and outward motion. Apply your choice of pink/peach or neutral eyeshadow before mascara and eyeliner. To achieve a softer and longer-lasting effect, apply an eye primer or a touch of foundation to the lids before applying the liner and eyeshadow.
