6 secrets to make my tights last all winter long

1/ I buy smart. We prefer tights made of natural fibers and opaque tights, which are more resistant. The more Lycra a pair contains, the better it will hold (unlike "all synthetic").

2/ I put them in the freezer when I get home. Put your tights in a freezer bag, then in the cold, and finally let them "melt" for a day. Their mesh will tighten and be more resistant to your movements and to small snags afterwards. Another trick:the "hair spray" pschit-pschit!

3/ I put them on gently. We pay attention to nails and jewelry (which we remove), we put ourselves in a comfortable position, we avoid pulling on it like a pirate, we raise it little by little, first sliding the ankle, then the calf and finally the thigh. One leg after the other (it will also avoid accidents). Ditto when they are removed.

4/ I put clear varnish on the tears. Yes, this grandma's trick works. However, be careful not to stick the pantyhose to your skin during application and tear everything off afterwards!

5/ I store them well. The top? Let the air circulate a minimum in the tights by folding them gently rather than rolling them into a ball:it's good for their fiber and it will prevent you from pulling everything in all directions to put them on afterwards.

6/ I don't put them in the dryer. It damages their elasticity, can snag them, relax them (as a result they will slip more and be less resistant). Instead, they are washed by hand. And if we have no choice but the machine (because we're lazy), we put them in a special little bag to protect them, and we add a big tablespoon of white vinegar to the tray rinsing agent to remove the limescale that weakens the mesh of the tights.
