How to tame thick hair?

Both stiff and thick, the hair is resistant. In addition, its round shape allows the sebum to descend and nourish the fiber to the ends. All cuts are possible:short, long, layered, tapered, straight… As it is heavy, the hairdresser sees precisely where it falls and adapts the cut, which remains perfect for a long time. Ditto for hairstyles:whether you want curls, a brushing or ultra-smooth, the shaping lasts a long time. Hair happiness!

Beautiful hair reflexes

• We choose a shampoo and care for thick hair and, if necessary, we alternate with a shampoo for greasy hair. What are we avoiding? Nourishing products, too rich for a fiber that just lacks hydration, and those from the “volume” ranges. You can wash your hair every other day.

• Even if the hair is resistant, we pamper it (especially if it is weakened by bleaching or by heating appliances):at least once a week, we leave a conditioner or a moisturizing mask on for a few minutes. If the hair gets greasy quickly, apply a day cream on the lengths.

• Dry the hair keeping the head straight. The hair dryer must be positioned above the head, never below, so as not to lift the roots and give (too) volume.

• If you want to create curls or waves, first apply a styling product (mousse, cream or spray). As the hair is heavy, it quickly regains its natural stiffness if the movement is not fixed.

The anti-bad hair day gesture. Flat roots with crazy lengths are the bad combo for thick hair. Restore volume at the roots with a dry shampoo and discipline the lengths with a dab of day cream applied to the finger or, if that's not enough, a straightening iron.
