Coconut oil:a magic product for your hair

Coconut oil, what is it?

The most effective coconut carrier oils are those that are 100% pure, natural and virgin; which have not been split, modified. Choose certified organic coconut oil, cold pressed, without chemical treatment. Coconut oil is made up of lauric acid which, once in the body, turns into monolaurin. Monolaurin has antimicrobial properties. For the hair, lauric acid is also very interesting. Indeed, coconut oil is the vegetable oil that penetrates the hair fiber as much as possible. Lauric acid is very close to hair proteins; in fact, coconut oil is ideal for nourishing the driest or frizziest hair. Coconut oil also contains vitamin A, which has free radical scavenging actions, and vitamin E, which is a natural antioxidant.

Why is coconut oil magical for your hair?

Coconut oil is very nourishing, soothing and gentle on skin and hair. Coconut vegetable oil nourishes and smoothes the hair fiber. Your hair regains shine and vitality. It also has the advantage of delicately perfume your hair thanks to its subtle scent of coconut. It also promotes hair growth, making you gain a few more millimeters per month. You can also combine it with castor oil to enhance the effects of coconut oil on hair growth. Finally, coconut oil is known for its anti-lice properties. Indeed, coconut oil applied to the hair asphyxiates lice and nits. As an anti-lice solution, you can use coconut oil on your hair in synergy with Neem vegetable oil, lavender or geranium essential oil.

How to use coconut oil for hair?

This vegetable oil is perfect for oil baths. You can also use it to make "afro" type hair care. Coconut oil will then constitute the fatty phase of your hair care. For very dry hair as for "normal" hair, apply coconut oil to your hair in an oil bath. Insist well on the ends then wrap your hair in a hot towel. Keep the towel on your head for several hours then wash your hair. In shampoo or hair masks, coconut oil will nourish your hair. Do not hesitate to create an anti-lice oil, very effective and more pleasant than conventional products sold on the market to fight this scourge of schoolyards.
