Highlighting and its iridescent tones extend beyond the complexion: frosted pink or blue eyelids, icy snow-colored lips, and a luminescent décolleté. The goal? Restore nobility to winter skin and illuminate it with makeup that captures and reflects light.

Mother-of-pearl for a diaphanous complexion

Begin by prepping the skin with a filling, smoothing base. This minimizes dilated pores and fine lines, delivering a sheer, angelic finish. Skip this, and even the glowiest makeup will highlight imperfections.

Hydrate thoroughly—pearls can dry out the skin. For a slightly matte complexion, apply a white cream or orchid lightening CC cream to the face and neck for a fresh, transparent glow. Use a complexion corrector to conceal dark circles and blemishes, ensuring a flawless base.

Iridescent shadows for the eyes

Shape the eyes into an almond form with black liquid eyeliner along the upper lash line for a fringe effect. Opt for black or brown mascara—avoid glitter.

Next, apply iridescent shadow in sky blue, silver, or Parma violet to the center of the mobile eyelid, then white or pink to the inner corner. Blend toward the temples with a brush, sticking to two or three harmonious shades to avoid a messy look.

Finish the upper eyelids with white or pearly champagne shadow—or an illuminator. Highlighters are versatile for the entire face.

For evening, intensify with gray, dark purple, or indigo blue.
