Researchers from the University of Manchester have found that humid weather conditions benefit nail health.
Their study reveals that humidity is the key to smooth, strong nails. High humidity not only strengthens nails but also increases flexibility, making them easier to file or trim.
In dry environments, nails become brittle more quickly. Excessive humidity, however, can cause damage and bending. The optimal humidity level for nails is 55 percent.
Leveraging this evidence-based insight, scientists are developing better strategies to protect nail health.
