Cotton: Not ideal. While this natural fiber absorbs moisture exceptionally well, it dries slowly during heavy sweating, trapping sweat and causing odors.
Bamboo: Excellent. It absorbs four times more than cotton and is naturally antibacterial, preventing bad smells.
Linen: Impeccable. It absorbs 30% of its weight in water, fights bacteria, and naturally regulates temperature—cool in summer, warm in winter.
Tencel®: Fully endorsed. This wood pulp-derived cellulose fiber is antibacterial and wicks sweat effectively. Common in eco-brands and at H&M, Zara, and others.
Synthetics: Avoid unless high-tech with antiperspirant treatments, like Uniqlo's Dry or Invista's Coolmax.
Too tight traps heat and boosts perspiration. Too loose fails to wick sweat from skin. Choose regular-fit T-shirts in light colors—dark hues absorb heat. For summer, long flowy dresses offer movement and style without overheating.
