The Ritz Paris has long been synonymous with haute couture, serving as a favored backdrop for Vogue photo shoots—including iconic sessions with Kate Moss—and Fashion Week presentations. This legendary hotel, reopening later this year following extensive renovations, will introduce the world's first Chanel Spa, as announced in an official press release from the maison. With 159 rooms, including 56 suites and six prestige suites overlooking Place Vendôme—such as the storied Coco Chanel suite—the five-star icon has been closed since July 2012 to modernize while preserving its essence as a pillar of French luxury.
The Chanel-Ritz partnership carries deep historical significance. Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel was a devoted resident for over 30 years, famously declaring, “The Ritz is my home.” Even Chanel N°5's iconic bottle draws inspiration from Place Vendôme's architecture: as noted on the Chanel website, “Its space, especially its shape, can be found in the octagonal stopper of the bottle of its first perfume, N°5.”
While Chanel offers an array of beauty essentials from sunscreens to lipsticks, this marks its inaugural fully dedicated spa featuring signature products and treatments. Anticipation is high, though we'll await the Ritz's year-end reopening to indulge.
