8 Natural scar removal products

A little too visible for our taste, the scars spoil our lives a little. The good news is that there are all sorts of natural ways to drastically lessen them or make them go away. For oils, whether vegetable or essential, as well as for butters, it is important to choose organic oils with serious certification (AB, Ecocert). This will be the challenge of a 100% natural product free of any additives. This way, you are sure not to inflict chemicals on your skin and you will enjoy all the natural benefits of the products.

1- Shea butter

Shea butter is very rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E and F. It accelerates the healing process of the scar and acts directly on the coloring of the scar. Choose raw (unrefined) shea butter. It has a particular smell but its effectiveness is certain.

2- Argan oil

A beauty oil with multiple virtues. It is particularly effective in the treatment of scars and spots. It contains an active ingredient from the sterol family which gives it a repairing and regenerating action on the skin in the event of burns, acne scars and chapping.

3- Chilean rosehip oil

An oil with quite exceptional healing, regenerating and "depigmenting" properties. It is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins A, C and E. It tightens the epidermis and reduces scars, spots and stretch marks.

4- Tea tree essential oil

A must for healing and preventing acne pimples. Tea tree essential oil is antibacterial, antifungal and anti-infectious. Apply by drop using a cotton swab or dilute in vegetable oil for large areas.

5- Lavender essential oil

A healing, anti-inflammatory and analgesic essential oil. To be applied by drop targeting a small area or by diluting in vegetable oil.

6- Lemon juice

Lemon contains acids that help create new cells. It also has a lightening power on spots and scars. The acidity of lemon tends to dry out the skin. Space out your applications or mix the lemon juice with another natural ingredient.

7- Manuka honey

It is a therapeutic honey that is used in some Anglo-Saxon hospitals to dress wounds. Rich in amino acids, minerals and vitamins, it is very effective for the treatment of scars. Check that the pot contains a UMF index of at least 15 or 16. The higher this index, the greater the antibacterial qualities.

8- Virgin olive oil

We don't necessarily think about it, but olive oil is packed with antioxidants. It has a high acidity level which helps lighten scars. If its smell reminds you too much of cooking, you can perfume it and enrich it with a few drops of essential oils.

Precautions for use:

– Pregnant women should avoid essential oils.

– For essential oils, always do a test and wait 48 hours to avoid any risk of allergy or skin reaction.
