7-Year-Old Girl with Alopecia Universallyata Shines on School's 'Crazy Hair Day' with Creative Stickers

When a child faces illness, it challenges the whole family—but love and creativity can turn tough moments into joyful ones. Gianessa Wride, a 7-year-old from Utah, USA, lives with alopecia areata, an unpredictable autoimmune condition causing patchy hair loss. In just three weeks, after a particularly stressful year as her mother Daniella Wride shared, Gianessa went fully bald. Yet the 29-year-old mom ensured it didn't dim her daughter's spirit. Gianessa joined her classmates for "Crazy Hair Day" in March—a fun school event where kids sport wild, unexpected hairstyles.

"Mom, that's great!"

The mother-daughter team got creative. "Last year, I styled her with a unicorn horn. [...] This year, we decided to decorate her skull with stickers," Daniella told Yahoo Beauty. They used four sheets of multicolored diamond stickers to craft stunning flowers and an owl on her head, finished with Christmas earrings. Gianessa beamed: "She looked in the mirror and said, 'Mom, this is great!' Her friends loved it too," Daniella added. "We make bald trendy and fun!"

The result is truly inspiring—Gianessa undoubtedly stole the show among her peers that day.
