Monoi, in all its forms

If there is a product synonymous with exoticism and holidays, it is monoi oil! Essential for our beach vanity, long weekends in the sun or simply for our bathrooms in need of hot sand, this oil has many virtues. Take a look at a product we love!

Monoï oil

A traditional and daily product in French Polynesia, monoi oil is obtained by macerating the flowers of Tiare, a small shrub with white flowers, in copra or coconut oil. Its composition is completely natural. Rich in saturated fatty acids, this treatment protects, nourishes and softens the skin and hair.

On dry and damaged skin, monoi oil can be used for bust and face care, or as an after-sun balm. It has a firming effect and smoothes the tissues of the skin. It also prevents dehydration and protects against external aggressions such as the sun, after exposure (and not before), all while leaving a sweet smell of vacation! On dry, dull hair, applied as a conditioner or as a nourishing balm overnight under a hot towel, monoi oil deeply nourishes, restores shine and strength. Most ? A slight smoothing effect.

Good to know:above 20 degrees, it is solid. To be able to apply it, place it under a stream of hot water.

Our favourite? That of the Biarritz Laboratories, with several flavors:either vanilla, coconut, or Thiaré flower!

A real must have for our future summer season!
