Coconut oil:for which type of hair?

Coconut oil for curly, frizzy or afro type hair

Coconut oil is absolutely recommended for very dry hair. Dry hair is generally afro, frizzy or even very curly hair types. These types of hair require regular care as well as intense hydration. Coconut oil is a vegetable oil that penetrates the hair fiber thus providing it with all the hydration it needs. Curls will gain in spring and suppleness, frizz and the foamy effect will be distant memories. To use coconut oil on your frizzy, curly or Afro type hair, do an oil bath once a week. As this type of hair requires only one or two shampoos per week, redefine your curls in the morning by melting a coconut butter in the palm of your hands. Then take strands in your palm, close your points two or three times in a row. Your curls will regain hydration and bounce.

Coconut oil for difficult to comb hair

Coconut oil for hair is very popular with people who have trouble detangling their hair out of the shower. Rather than using a classic detangler, use coconut oil as a pre-wash. To do this, all you have to do, before your shampoo, is to apply a homemade mask made of coconut oil and aloe vera gel to your lengths. Proceed with your usual shampoo, then, you will see, you will have no difficulty in combing your hair. Coconut oil prevents your hair from swelling under the action of water. It lubricates the hair fiber allowing easy disentangling.

Coconut oil for normal hair

Normal hair type, i.e. neither oily nor dry, can also use coconut oil. Of course, care will be less common than with very dry hair. Why not do a coconut oil mask two to three times a month? This will prevent drying out problems; your hair will be shiny and supple. You can make oil baths or homemade masks. For example, you can mix coconut oil with a whole avocado. Apply to your hair, leave for thirty minutes then rinse. Your hair will be healthy.

Coconut oil for dandruff-prone hair

If you suffer from dandruff, coconut oil can be a good alternative to conventional products. Here is a coconut oil-based dandruff mask recipe:In a bowl, mix four tablespoons of warm coconut oil with two tablespoons of lemon juice. Mix the mixture well so that it becomes homogeneous and then apply on your scalp. Leave on for thirty minutes then rinse and wash your hair. Perform this mask once a week.
