Suddenly, I'm in the top 5 of the Beautiful Shoes blog competition. Amid last week's migraine episodes, I spotted a post from another blogger about a blogging contest. Intrigued, I clicked through to explore it further.
The homepage boldly announced the contest in progress. I reviewed the rules and checked out the previous top 5 entries for inspiration.
That's when a brilliant idea hit: the theme was shoes—a perfect fit! My nearly 16-year-old daughter is fashion-forward and utterly obsessed with them. I crafted a dedicated post: Help! My Daughter is Addicted to… Shoes.
The submission deadline was last night. Expecting news sometime this week, I was stunned to open my inbox today and find I'd made the top 5.
Tips for You only launched at the end of November (though I've been blogging and writing for years), and now we're competing in the top 5 of this exciting contest. My day is made!
