QUESTION: I've tried mascaras from budget to high-end, but they all transfer to my upper lid and smudge under the outer corners of my eyes during the day—waterproof or not. I use a lightweight eye gel (not thick cream) and a day cream for oily skin. What am I doing wrong?
ANSWER: "Assuming you're using a quality waterproof mascara, an eyelash curler is your best fix. Straight eyelashes often brush against the eye area, picking up natural fluids that cause mascara to run, especially in the corners.
Curl at the root to lift lashes upward, minimizing moisture contact and smudges. Also, matte your eyelids with powder to prevent transfer to the upper lid."
