Despite my best intentions, January 1 rolls around each year with my weight much the same as December. This year, I'm slightly ahead, but I still want to drop another 5 kilos. After bidding farewell to Sinterklaas and indulging in gingerbread and chocolate letters, my father arrived last week with two Toblerone bars. Not the giant size, but enough to make my love handles hum happily.
You probably know the feeling.

On January 1 (or the day after), the Netherlands kicks off the new year with mass resolutions: losing weight, exercising more, and quitting smoking top the list. I quit smoking years ago, so that's off my list. But weight loss, exercise, and my third vice—enjoying wine—remain a challenge.
In spring and summer, I'm casual allies with healthy eating and activity. I eat better, walk the dog more, and lace up my running shoes regularly. Come bad weather, however, my hormones and willpower falter, dropping fitness priorities. Wine often climbs the ranks.
Less exercise, steady (or increased) eating and drinking—cozied by the fireplace—adds up. Toss in December feasts, parties, and Toblerones, and my love handles sing out loud. Sound familiar?
Here's my smart plan:
I'm slimming down before the holidays, not scrambling afterward. At my age, shedding 5 kilos isn't straightforward. A few months ago, I was over 71 kilos (too much for me). I've held at 68 kilos, but the final push stalled.
I turned to Slimming Box after visiting their site. They provided capsules to help me reach my 5-kilo goal.
I'm cautious about weight-loss pills—I'm not great at swallowing them and often forget. My fix: phone timers. Twice daily, it reminds me. I take capsules three times a day plus morning detox fluid. Mornings are easy; they're by the sink.
They offer two options: a 2-week box for 2-5 kilos and a 4-week for 4-10 kilos. Success depends on commitment—no miracle pill exists without effort. Irresponsible shortcuts aren't worth it.
This supports my goal to enjoy holidays guilt-free. It nourishes with vitamins, supplements, proteins, and fibers to preserve muscle while targeting fat.
Daily regimen:
Take 15 minutes before meals. Breakdown:
Capsules support; a shopping list provides everyday supermarket items—healthy, balanced, low-fat/carb, no exotic ingredients.

Low-carb suits me, though winter veggie intake challenges me. Ditching sugar gets easier over time.
Toward my 5-kilo goal: first 3 days dropped 2 kilos. Progress slowed (expected), with recent PMS cravings. Sauna helped reset mentally.
I'll hit 5 kilos and enjoy holidays confidently—no bursting buttons.

Note on capsules: Fat burners are large but smooth. Multivitamins need halving for me (brief aftertaste). Better than daily workouts!
