Hair:the signs that it is time to cut it

It's a bit of a golden rule:when you have split ends, it's time to cut your hair (because no, no product can miraculously glue them back together). But there are other signs that show that a visit to the hairdresser could do our hair good. Here are five.

It feels like the hair is heavy

A good hairdresser knows how to cut the hair so that it "falls" well and seems light (this is especially obvious on thick hair). After a while, the hair density takes over and it feels like they are too heavy. A little refreshment of our cut is essential (and we do not hesitate to talk about this problem of too heavy hair to our hairdresser).

The cut no longer looks like anything

Let it be said:hair does not necessarily grow at the same speed all over the head. As a result, we can have a shift in length in places when we let them grow (this is generally not obvious, we reassure you), or we just have the impression that we no longer have the cut we had before (it's even more obvious on short haircuts that require regular maintenance). Again, not much to do except go back to the hairdresser…

We can no longer manage to discipline the hair

The cut is often synonymous with mastery of the hair. So, when they start to do as they please (frizz, texture harder to straighten, flat hair, etc.), it's a good idea to go to the hairdresser and revise the haircut a bit.

We have nodes

Who says hair that has grown generally says hair (a little) weakened. Heat, UV rays, wind, coloring (or bleaching)... all these elements cause the hair scales to open and not always close well, resulting in a less soft texture to the touch and above all, hair who get tangled up! You can of course soften them with care, but when you have a texture that approaches that of straw and a lot of knots, there is only one thing to do:cut!

Because we want to

This comes last on our list, yet it's perhaps the most important:wanting to change your mind (regardless of the motivation) is a good sign that it's time to do it. Of course, we avoid hasty decisions like cutting everything because we are sad (we might regret it), but wanting to change is a sign that should not be ignored.
