DIY Immortelle Shea Butter Balm: Natural Relief for Minor Cuts, Burns, and Irritations

Immortelle, also known as Helichryse Italienne, is a plant native primarily to Corsica, celebrated for its potent healing and anti-inflammatory properties. When blended with shea butter, it forms an exceptional balm ideal for soothing sunburns, minor burns, irritations, closed wounds, itching, razor burn, and dry skin areas.

Ingredients and Tools:

One 50g jar of shea butter

60 drops of Immortelle essential oil

A pestle and mortar

Recipe

Using the pestle and mortar, "crush" the shea butter and essential oil together—the traditional method—to perfectly emulsify the two textures. Variation: Opt for "Milotica," a softer shea butter that mixes easily with just a spoon.

Shelf life: 6 months.
