Craft Nourishing, Soothing Organic Soap with Bourbon Geranium Essential Oil

As a dedicated natural skincare formulator with years of experience in melt-and-pour soaps, I've developed this versatile recipe suitable for all skin types—oily, dry, or combination. Bourbon Geranium essential oil imparts a luxurious rose-like aroma renowned for its balancing, soothing, and mood-enhancing properties.

Ingredients and Tools:

  • One large mold or several small heat-resistant molds (e.g., cake molds) for custom shapes like guest soaps, bars, or squares.
  • Vegetable oil (coconut oil works well) to grease the molds.
  • 500g vegetable glycerin melt-and-pour soap base (Melt & White Soap Base with Organic Oils, Aromazone, €6.50).
  • 1 teaspoon organic virgin coconut oil: Creates a creamy texture with rich, pleasant foam.
  • 1 teaspoon organic cocoa butter: Delivers softening and calming benefits for the skin.
  • 1 teaspoon organic liquid honey.
  • 8g organic Geranium Bourbon essential oil.

Step-by-Step Recipe

Melt the soap base, coconut oil, and cocoa butter in a double boiler over low heat. Remove from heat, stir in the honey until fully incorporated, then add the 8g Geranium essential oil and mix well. Pour into greased molds. Let solidify, unmold, and air-dry for about 24 hours before use. For exfoliation, blend in verbena leaves, hibiscus flowers, coffee beans, coconut pulp, or crushed organic rice prior to pouring.
