The benefits of frozen cucumber on the skin

Cucumber definitely has its place in a beauty routine. Rich in vitamins A, C and K , it has many benefits for the skin. Among other things, it reduces dark circles and puffiness, brightens the complexion and tightens pores. Dermatologist Dr Beth Goldstein told our colleagues at Glamour UK :“frozen cucumbers may be more soothing than unfrozen in helping to reduce swelling, puffiness, or inflammation” .

Moreover, during the interview the expert quotes a study published in African Journal of Biotechnology which suggests that cucumber can also decrease the sebum that clogs pores and causes, in many cases, acne. “The biochemicals found in cucumber may help block the enzyme that causes excessive production of melanin or pigmentation, which can lead to dark spots” she adds.
