Pretty hands and pretty feet

Summer is often the season we prefer to show off our most beautiful nails, and pretty feet in sandals. We tell you everything in this new file to take care of your nails, your hands and your feet, all naturally.

Taking care of your hands

To survive the Indian summer hands down, you have to take care of it! Daily put to the test (dishes, washing, cuts, burns, pinches, etc.) the hands sometimes suffer in silence and come after the rest of our body in terms of hydration and nutrition. So get into the good habit of “creaming” your hands as soon as possible so as not to arrive under the burning sun with crocodile fingers. Our favourite? Patyka's "Hand in Hand" cream. Delicately scented, its formula is composed of organic plum and sunflower vegetable oils, rich in fatty acids and vitamin E, which deeply repair and nourish the skin of the hands very often attacked by the cold. The hands are soft, the skin regains its suppleness! To optimize the moisturizing treatment, you can exfoliate only the hands once or twice a week with the one with salt crystals from Patyka or the monoi exfoliation from Evolve Beauty which is reminiscent of summer all year round!

Beautiful nails:a perfect manicure

Before choosing your color, it is important to prepare your nails for varnishing. Glossworks Nail &Cuticle Oil harnesses the nourishing and softening power of avocado carrier oil. Rich in oleic acid and vitamin E, this treatment redensifies the nails and protects them from oxidation. Significantly hydrated cuticles are softer and easier to push back for a flawless manicure. You can use this oil daily around the nails and just after applying the varnish to deeply moisturize.

Of course, a perfect manicure wouldn't be perfect without polish! Choose the color you want! Conventional varnishes often contain chemical active ingredients that are not only bad for the planet but also for your nails. Displaying “7-free” or “10 free” formulas without toxic ingredients such as formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, camphor, xylene, resin formaldehyde and rosin, natural varnishes have it all! We go for the nail polishes of the brands Manucurist, Nailmatic or All Tigers, with impeccable outfits and pigmented colors!

For a perfect manicure, file and shape your nails, with a file and polisher like the one from Nailmatic. We apply a base, then a first thin coat of varnish, before a second thick coat. Of course, we think about respecting the drying times! Finally, we finish with a top coat, to fix and lacquer the color for a long time!

To remove your nail polish while respecting the nail, go for a natural solvent with an oil texture, which does not attack the nail or the skin, like at Manucurist. We use washable and reusable cotton make-up remover squares with this one;)

The trick for very damaged hands

If you have very dry and damaged hands, do not hesitate to choose a very rich shea butter or coconut balm that will take care of your hands and protect them. If you have very thin or silk gloves, apply a lot of material to your hands before putting the gloves on for the whole night:your hands will be nourished during your sleep and will be repaired in the morning!

Taking care of your feet

For pretty feet, treat yourself to a little home spa once or twice a week! Thicker than the skin of the hands, the skin of our feet is often dry. We then opt for a scrub once or twice a week, with large crystals of sugar or salt, to remove dead cells and impurities. You can also choose an exfoliating glove or a brush. Then, we apply a cream for our feet! It will allow to soften and soften, while providing comfort. If you have very dry and damaged feet, same trick as for the hands:apply a very thick layer of a special foot cream such as Propolia or shea butter then put on soft socks (very loose to sleep well) . The best for pretty feet is also to let them breathe! We take advantage of being at home to apply a cream on our feet, put on little sandals and let them enjoy being in the open air.

A relaxing foot bath

You can start by soaking your feet in a foot bath. If you don't have a foot bath, a bowl of lukewarm water will be perfect to give you a relaxing moment. Pour two handfuls of salt or Himalayan pink salt and immerse your feet in the water for a quarter of an hour. You can add a few drops of lavender essential oil to soothe. At the end of this treatment, you can go to the exfoliation step to remove imperfections!
