Exclusive Interview: Élodie Frégé on Her Roger & Gallet Partnership and Timeless Beauty Secrets

How do you spot the perfect brand muse? It's when she speaks about it with genuine passion and authenticity. Roger & Gallet nailed it with Élodie Frégé, the luminous ambassador for their Aura Mirabilis skincare collection.

What drew you to partner with Roger & Gallet?

I discovered the brand as a child, spotting their shower gels and perfumes in my parents' bathroom. Its vintage packaging has a secretive allure that aligns with my cinematic tastes. When they first approached me, I didn't realize I'd be involved in launching a new skincare line. I tested the products and immediately said yes! (laughs) It was exciting to blend my worlds as a singer and actress.

How did the inspiration for the Aura Mirabilis song strike?

Initially, I doubted myself—how to turn chemistry into a song that felt true to me? I dove into the ingredient list from Roger & Gallet. It was fascinating. Two weeks before the deadline, it flowed naturally. I had a blast and adore being the Roger & Gallet fairy!

What's your daily skincare routine for radiant skin?

Hydration is key—drink plenty of water. I do 10-day resets with warm lemon water each morning. For eyes, I soak cotton pads in Aura Mirabilis Beauty Vinegar, leave them on while my tea brews, then swipe over my face. Follow with Aura Mirabilis Double Extract and a day cream. At night, I double-cleanse with water or micellar gel, then apply SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 serum and Aura Mirabilis Legendary Balm. Nighttime hydration combats my dryness.

And your body care regimen?

A singer friend teased, 'You cream yourself non-stop!' I layer creams but neglect my feet—those 12cm heels and stage dancing take a toll. I love rich formulas like Sanoflore's Nourishing Body Beauty Balm Miel Suprême in winter. I always massage my décolletage to keep it youthful. For arms raised on stage, Carita's Fluide de Beauté 14 Glittery oil shines. My upper thighs struggle with circulation and water retention, so I use draining massages. Cellulite cups might be next!

What's the hair color that best suits you?

Blonde in my late teens felt 'weak' (laughs)—highlights, henna, damage, back to natural... For the song, I was blonde, but it lacked spark. I went natural, then platinum for the What's your name this morning? video like Marilyn Monroe. My colorist Guillaume Zilioli convinced me to go red. It's transformative—I feel like I was born this way!

How do you care for your hair?

Natural picks like Aveda's Dry Remedy moisturizing shampoo. Christophe Robin's Roux Vénitien Color Nuanceur Treatment keeps my red vibrant. Shu Uemura's Essence Absolue is exceptional too.

Your makeup must-haves?

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat for my tinted under-eyes. Giorgio Armani's Black Ecstasy mascara and Eye Tint shadows, thanks to my makeup artist. La Roche-Posay Novalip Duo for lips. For complexion, I blend day cream with Vichy Dermablend or light Laura Mercier foundation. Eyebrows are non-negotiable—Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow for natural definition. Skip mascara, but never brows!

Favorite perfume?

Rêve d'Ossian by Oriza L. Legrand—a unisex gem, as women's scents sometimes overwhelm me. In summer, lighter Roger & Gallet options like Fleur de Figuier or Gingembre.

Your ideal day?

Fresh from my US tour, it'd start with a Thai massage or DermaCenter skin analysis. Picnic or boat ride in good weather, wine tasting with friends. Fitness too: dance, yoga, TRX, boxing (no sparring). I could train others—less partying required! (laughs)

What question do you wish we'd asked?

'What makes you beautiful?' Simple: being deeply loved and in love, in total harmony with that person. It changes everything for everyone.
