Exclusive Interview: Fauve Hautot on Partnering with Kiehl’s #5minPourVotrePeau Campaign and Her Beauty Routine

What made you want to collaborate with Kiehl's?

I connected with the Kiehl’s team right away because I only partner with people I truly click with on a natural level. It was a great opportunity to rediscover products I already loved, and the positive atmosphere made for truly enjoyable days on set.

Which products are part of your beautiful skin routine?

I'm all about quick routines—no hours in the bathroom for me. In the shower, I use the Calendula Deep Cleansing Facial Cleansing Gel. My three bedside essentials are the Vitamin C Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate, the moisturizing eye contour with avocado oil, and the Ultra Facial Cream, perfect for morning and night. My favorite is the white clay mask—it gives my skin such a radiant glow, like I've slept 12 hours straight!

Do you have any make-up favourites?

The Graftobian Glamor Cream palette is my go-to for everyday and professional looks—it beautifully illuminates the face. I opt for a light Guerlain foundation, mainly on the cheeks. For lips, I love matte lipsticks paired simply with mascara. That's all I need!

How do you take care of your hair?

Kérastase products all the way—Kérastase forever! (Laughs) I nourish with castor oil and coconut oil, and color without ammonia. It's crucial for keeping hair healthy despite styling with hot tools like plates and curling irons. Natural care is key.

Can you tell us more about your red color?

I've always gravitated toward copper tones. I tried electric red, then went brown, but it felt dull, so I returned to this sunny shade naturally.

For a campaign that talks about the "urban jungle", your first name is adequate. Where is he from?

My parents are wonderfully unique! (Laughs) My dad watched an American TV movie called Legacy of Love, where a painter names her baby Fauve. He loved it and chose it for me—thanks, Dad! Fun fact: that little girl was red-haired too. I adore my name; it suits my vibe perfectly... though I don't bite! (Laughs)

You live at 100 per hour. What are your rest days like?

They're rare, but I either lounge in pajamas with a burger and a movie, or rise early, tidy up, and plan an outing.

How do you view your meteoric rise?

I feel blessed with a lucky star. I've turned my childhood passion into a career—not everyone gets that. It's demanding with little free time, but it's my choice because I love it. I thrive on activity, adrenaline, and constant challenges; otherwise, I get bored fast!

Can you tell us about Saturday Night Live, the musical show you starred in?

The run ended April 30, 2017, after 68 Paris dates. I jumped in trusting director Stéphane Jarny's vision—he choreographed À la Recherche de la Nouvelle Star, The Voice, and the Disco show. It was an exhilarating adventure with comedy elements I loved. Great reception, and a tour kicks off this fall—I'm thrilled!

Did you grow up listening to the Bee Gees?

My parents had their vinyls, so yes. At home, I'm more Jimi Hendrix, but the show's soundtrack is iconic—every track legendary, all memorized. That's why I said yes; I imagined dancing to these hits nightly and thought, "Wow, no problem at all!"
