Dutch men are increasingly conscious of their appearance and vanity, according to a Discovery Channel survey of 3,800 men. They're also adopting healthier lifestyles compared to previous years.
While 84% of men strive to look good, most spend just three minutes in front of the mirror. Skin and hair care top their priorities, and many believe a well-groomed look boosts their career prospects.
In 2009, 40% spent more on personal care products than in 2008. Yet, two-thirds remain dissatisfied with their appearance, wishing to be more muscular and leaner. A third even feel jealous of other men.
