Dutch Women Over 35 Embrace Natural-Looking Cosmetic Treatments: Key Survey Insights

Cosmetic surgery is under the spotlight. What do Dutch women over 35 really think? 'Should we go for it or not?' A Nouveau survey uncovers surprising answers: 50% of women who've had facial procedures chose eyelid corrections as their first step.

Key findings include:
* 80% of women primarily aim to maintain a good appearance, not just look younger.
* Among women over 35, 39% see no issue with cosmetic treatments if results look natural; 19% prefer them completely undetectable.
* 50% of those who've had facial work underwent eyelid corrections.
* 39% approve of Botox, fillers, peels, laser treatments, eyelid corrections, or even facelifts—provided the outcome appears natural.
* For 18%, Botox is as routine as hair dyeing or epilating.

Dutch women tend to keep treatments private, sometimes even from partners. Eyelid corrections are the most accepted, thanks to their medical benefits like improved vision and headache relief, plus being a one-time procedure unlike injectables. While nearly one-third favor minor procedures, full facelifts or invasive surgeries feel like too much—especially if friends (4%) might judge them as unnatural. Notably, over 60% of women above 50 report no interest in surgery. Just 3% would skip a holiday for it.
