Women Own 7 Pairs of Jeans on Average—But Regularly Wear Just 4: Survey Reveals

According to a recent jeans survey, 91% of women own at least one pair of jeans. On average, women own seven pairs—with one in four owning 10 or more—yet they regularly wear only four. Notably, 31% refuse to buy a larger size, 50% cling to their "skinny jeans" hoping to fit them again someday, and 62% use jeans to gauge if they need to lose weight. While 54% like how they look in jeans and 40% feel sexy, 8% feel disgusted.

The #1 trend women want banished forever? Super-low-waisted jeans (closely followed by ripped jeans, jeggings, and skinny jeans). Jeans are a workplace staple too: 58% of full-time office workers wear them, with half doing so once a week and 27% nearly every day.

The oldest jeans in women's closets average 6 years old, and 20% have owned a pair for 10+ years. Most wash after 2-3 wears, though 30% wash every time.
