Modemuze@OBA: Innovation – Captivating Fashion Exhibition in Amsterdam

Starting May 18, the 'Modemuze@OBA: Innovation' exhibition opens at Amsterdam's Central OBA Library. Building on the success of its 2017 debut, Modemuze—the authoritative online platform documenting four centuries of fashion and costume history—presents a dynamic showcase with a rich program of events. Discover inspiring historical garments alongside cutting-edge designs from emerging talents, curated by 14 leading museums and 4 esteemed collectors. Each partner selected standout pieces from their collections to highlight fashion's enduring evolution.

Innovative Designs by Emerging Talent
In partnership with the international fashion network MAFB, Modemuze invited six promising young designers to draw inspiration from artifacts at the Amsterdam Museum and Tropenmuseum (Museum of World Cultures). These creators crafted bespoke contemporary outfits exclusively for this exhibition, bridging past and present.

Visit for free from May 18 to September 2, daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., at Centrale OBA, Oosterdokskade 143, Amsterdam.
