Our In-Depth Review: Yves Rocher's Eco-Hotel Spa La Grée des Landes

Discover a true haven for disconnection, certified by Green Globe and the European Ecolabel. This eco-hotel and spa prioritize environmental harmony, featuring an entirely organic, locavore restaurant sourcing from local farms. Affordable rates make it accessible, and with every night stayed, the Yves Rocher Foundation plants a tree through its "Plant for the Planet" initiative.

Our visit to La Gacilly offered instant respite from urban hustle. Nestled in the forest, the all-wood hotel greets with expansive bay windows. Accessed via the second floor, rooms on the hillside face the moors and sun, naturally warmed in winter alongside boiler heating and recycled kitchen stove air. Breathtaking views, no Wi-Fi in rooms for pure disconnection—mission accomplished.

The spa impresses with a swimming pool and a relaxation pool, both framed by vast windows. Warmth envelops you as you gaze outward. A hammam adds to the bliss. Treatments blend exclusives with Yves Rocher staples, delivered by discreet, expert practitioners in spotless surroundings. Pure relaxation achieved.

Among offerings, we tried the "Yogi Walkie"—a forest walk led by a yoga instructor, complete with home practice tips. An emotionally profound experience.

Chef Gilles Le Gallès' "Les Jardins Sauvages" restaurant shines. Healthy, delectable cuisine pairs perfectly with staff-recommended wines. Attentive yet unobtrusive service builds trust.

Verdict: Opened in 2009, La Grée des Landes embodies authentic sustainability, not just a trend. Passionate staff deliver ethical, nature-aligned stays. Certifications reflect genuine commitment. Services warrant its acclaim—we'd extend our stay in a heartbeat.
