6 daring hair changes #4

4/ Turn platinum

Why don't we dare? We can fantasize about the ultra-cold blonde of Daenerys Targaryen (from the series Game of Thrones ), from there to seeing yourself in platinum, there is a world...

It's for me ? The sine qua non for trying platinum:healthy hair. It is an extreme discoloration (especially if they are already colored), with a very important oxidation to transfer all the golden pigments (which leave last). CQFD:it weakens to death. If you're blonde, it's not too big a change, but you lose quality (it's hard to have beautiful hair that goes beyond your shoulders). Platinum requires maintenance, even if the roots side is nice, so we plan the adequate budget. And if we are very dark with a dark complexion? Okay, okay, we don't recommend it.

It is done ! The key to beautiful bleached hair is care. For each wash, we use a pre-shampoo oil and/or a mask. We do not hesitate to do deep treatments in the salon (the Tokio treatment at David Lucas, the cabin treatment at the Leonor Greyl institute, the Ultimate Remedy in the Shu Uemura salons, etc.). To preserve the cold reflections of platinum, we choose products with a white texture (this is often the case):the weakened fiber absorbs the pigments of the colored formulas. We therefore avoid care for golden blond, often yellow. What about anti-yellowing (blue) care, which cools the color? Yes, but not with every wash, otherwise it can turn gray.

What if we regret? You can repigment with another color, but let a pro do it because the hair “drinks” the color. So we can end up with a colo result different from what we wanted.
