This March, we're thrilled to spotlight the women who inspire us at NUOO—even if one day or month isn't enough, it's a vital moment to celebrate them. For the 2021 edition, we're featuring Anya Tsai, founder of Les Résilientes. A vibrant life coach brimming with joie de vivre and energy, Anya shares her journey and mission. ♥
At the heart of Anya's work is her association. Les Résilientes is a non-profit of general interest, founded in 2018 by Anya, a certified life coach and resilient survivor herself. It provides confidential discussion groups in Paris for men and women survivors of sexual violence, promoting open dialogue and supporting reconstruction. It's one of the few organizations offering such groups for both genders.
Words can liberate, build strength, and shift perspectives from victim to survivor. Through Les Résilientes, Anya guides those affected toward resilience and a renewed life. Releasing pent-up anger and focusing on the future is key to finding inner peace and rebuilding.
To learn more about Anya and her association, we asked key questions that resonate deeply.
Resilience is profoundly personal to me. In physics, it's a material's ability to withstand shocks and regain its shape. In psychology, it's our capacity to thrive, bounce back, and grow despite adversity—like sexual violence, breakups, illness, burnout, loss, or even challenges like COVID. We all possess this inner strength.
"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become." (Carl Gustav Jung)
You are an extraordinary girl with boundless talent and potential. Don't let anyone limit you. Choose the life you envision—everything is possible, with no limits.
I've shared a YouTube video on books that transformed my resilience journey: https://youtu.be/u7nPO4WdOg8
For deeper insights, my book launches April 15: "The Gold of Our Scars" by Anya Tsai (First Editions, 16.95€). Pre-order now from bookstores or online retailers.
Les Résilientes began as my personal blog on resilience after rape, evolving into an online community. In 2018, spotting a gap—no Paris support groups for sexual violence survivors—I founded the association. Its mission: foster free speech in safe, confidential spaces filled with respect, empathy, and non-judgment. Last year, it earned general interest status. Today, financial constraints and lack of premises challenge expansion.
I envision autonomy, dedicated spaces for groups and workshops, sponsors, and committed volunteers. Alone, progress is limited—but together, we can drive real change!
I seek Paris venues for groups, funding for projects, skilled volunteers, and professionals. Share your expertise: email anya@lesresilientes.com.
For Paris groups, you must be 18+; email your request to anya@lesresilientes.com.
