My name is Laure Bouguen. I'm 28, from Brittany—granddaughter of hemp growers—and I founded HO KARAN five years ago.
HO KARAN is a natural skincare brand that relieves stress for men and women of all ages and backgrounds, leveraging Breton cannabis expertise in bold, responsible formulations. I collaborated with agronomists, pharmacists, and phyto-cosmetologists to create holistic, sustainable products that soothe urban lifestyles.
My grandparents cultivated hemp (cannabis sativa). I discovered its potential to benefit humanity, soils, and ecosystems worldwide, yet it's only tolerated in few countries. France lags behind on this front.
Beyond stress-relief skincare, HO KARAN advocates for therapeutic cannabis and well-being. Our products demonstrate cannabis's health benefits, promoting a 'no-stress' ethos.
HO KARAN—'I love you' in Breton—honors cannabis, my grandparents, and a brighter future. Alongside, I co-founded the Syndicat Professionnel du Chanvre to push for better regulations on high-quality, organic French hemp cannabinoids.
We champion positive, inclusive, holistic, natural, and sustainable beauty—for all, including men:
Positive and inclusive: Rejecting stereotypes and anti-aging guilt, we foster fulfillment and serene longevity.
Holistic: Skin, body, and mind are interconnected—our approach blends sensory products, protocols, and supplements into a complete art of living.
Natural: High standards meet innovation, advancing science while honoring the plant.
Sustainable: We prioritize consumer health, product longevity, and environmental impact. Vegan formulas use 99-100% natural-origin ingredients, doing good without harm.
An inspiring leader for my team, a warm presence for clients, and a positive activist for the cause.
No single one—many courageous women inspire me: Virginie Despentes for her bold truths; Julie Gautier (freediver, director, dancer) proving multifaceted excellence; Christiane Taubira for her poise and bravery. The list goes on!
"Since we can leave a trace, let's make it beautiful." And Michel Audiard's: "Happy are the cracked, for they let the light pass." These fuel my drive.
"HO KARAN" (I love you, in Breton).
