The website cosmeticsklachten.nl has been launched today by RIVM on behalf of the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA). This initiative, developed in collaboration with dermatologists, general practitioners, and the Netherlands Cosmetics Association (NCV), aims to monitor the prevalence and causes of skin complaints and hypersensitivity reactions.
Currently, there's limited data on how many people experience these issues after using cosmetics. Most complaints resolve on their own without medical consultation. This effort provides the NVWA with valuable insights to enhance consumer safety.
Consumers experiencing issues with cosmetic products—such as hair and skincare, makeup, bath and shower gels, or shaving products—can complete a simple questionnaire at the online reporting point. Visit www.cosmeticaklachten.nl today.
