Start with dry, styled hair (with or without a part). Mist hairspray from arm's length to avoid sogginess, then gently brush through. Repeat at least five times. This builds a flexible base that holds curls and shields against heat damage—key for long-lasting results.
Let the iron fully heat up first. For fine hair, take 3-4 cm sections; for thick hair, narrower ones. Wrap sections around the iron starting 2 cm from the roots (trickier area to curl). Hold for 10 seconds to let heat fully penetrate for defined, bouncy curls.
