Hair affects the way 80 percent of middle-aged women feel

How do women's hair care goals, habits and preferences change as they get older? A study of 1,000 women, ages 30 to 60, has found that hair has an overwhelming influence on the way they think about themselves. The survey revealed the following:

* Nearly 80 percent say their hair can affect the way they think about themselves; more women want their hair to make them feel more beautiful and/or more confident.
* More than 50 percent say they spend less than 15 minutes on their hair each day.
* Fragrance is a priority , with approximately 83 percent saying scent is somewhat important or very important to them.
* 61 percent prefer shampoos and conditioners that are tailored to address their personal hair care goals.
