Amsterdam Fashion Week has unveiled the schedule for its September edition, set for September 1-4. This event showcases emerging talents alongside established names across iconic Amsterdam venues and select locations nearby. Kick off with the internationally renowned brand Wandler on opening night.
PROGRAMME
Wednesday, September 1
AFW launches with designer duo Schepers Bosman presenting their overview collection in the historic Council Chamber at Hotel The Grand. Collaborating with artists from Amsterdam's Bloomer Records, the show blends fashion and creativity. Wandler follows with its collection presentation that evening.
Thursday, September 2
The day opens with couture master Ronald van der Kemp, transforming trash into treasure following his acclaimed 'mind vaccine' show at Paris Couture Week. Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet marks its 20th anniversary with the 'H20RA! Trade for Charity' exhibition in Amsterdam, featuring unique looks by 20 Dutch designers paired with Batavia Stad brands. Launched during AFW, these pieces support charitable causes at Batavia Stad. Later, high-end streetwear label jenneskens delivers a immersive 360-degree show at Amsterdam Sloterdijk's industrial estate. In the evening, head to Kröller-Müller Museum in Arnhem for Humanoid's 40th anniversary presentation, featuring archive-inspired looks.
Friday, September 3
Duran Lantink takes the stage, joined by Lichting—AFW's platform with the Meester Koetsier Foundation spotlighting the top 14 graduates from Dutch fashion academies. The Lichting 2021 winner receives €10,000 and a solo show at the next AFW. Back at Capital C, catch REconstruct's 'REligion' show in partnership with Bud.
Saturday, September 4
Belgian couture house NATAN unveils its SS22 collection at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. Rising Armenian-Dutch designer Wannes Akop debuts with a salon presentation of his SS22 line at Hotel De L'Europe. Close out with Bodil Ouédraogo's live capsule collection in collaboration with Patta, exploring Afro Modernism, West African couture, and African diaspora streetwear.
THE HUB & FOUR AMSTERDAM
Thursday and Friday at Stadhouderskade 85 (The Collection Amsterdam), discover The HUB—a concept store for fashion, art, and design brands. Enjoy the Press Room powered by Logitech, Fairbee's sustainable platform launch (September 4), and Moët & Chandon champagne. Fairbee promotes conscious living.
On Saturday, FOUR Amsterdam at Van Baerlestraat 9-11 offers sneaker and clothing customization plus new AFW merchandise. Both The HUB and FOUR Amsterdam welcome the public.
