Amsterdam Fashion Week (AFW), the renowned biannual fashion showcase, is back in a refreshed format. This edition unfolds from September 6-9 at a prime new location in the city center—Museumplein. Alongside the main runway schedule, expect vibrant off-schedule events. While invitation-only for select shows, much of AFW is open to the public.
The Saturday and Sunday lineup features established powerhouses like Hudson's Bay, Penn&Ink N.Y., Silvian Heach, Goldbergh, 10DAYS, Lidl x Heidi Klum, Maison 365, Le Cafe Noir Studio & Jenneskens, and Zoe Karssen. A fresh highlight is the See Now, Buy Now model, letting viewers purchase collections instantly via live stream. AFW also spotlights emerging talent, including NINAMOUNAH and Lichting 2018 in partnership with HTNK, Meester Koetsier Foundation, and Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam. Kicking off Thursday evening is acclaimed designer David Laport.
Just before each show, last-minute tickets offer free entry opportunities to all. Beyond the core program, citywide initiatives infuse Amsterdam with fashion energy.
